About Our Group

1st Halesowen Scout Group was formed back in 1908 just 12 months after the foundation of the Scouts. We’re also part of the wider family of scouting as part of Halesowen Scout District who support the 9 scout groups in the Halesowen area. Halesowen district is in turn one of the 9 scout districts that form West Mercia Scout County.

In addition to the “1st Halesowen” flash that our members wear on their right arm we also wear a badge denoting our membership of Halesowen District and West Mercia county, which you can see below (click for a larger version):
